Terms of Service

1UP is a marketplace facilitator. We connect people who want to back Roblox games with studios raising funding, and we provide the tools around that — listings, milestones, identity checks, and records.

We are not a financial advisor, not a broker, and not an investment platform. Nothing on 1UP is investment advice or a recommendation to commit money to anything.

1UP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. Roblox is a trademark of its owner. Your use of Roblox remains governed by Roblox’s own terms.

This is the part people most often assume wrongly, so it is stated plainly:

• Backing a game is not equity. You do not acquire shares, ownership, or any stake in a studio or company.
• It is not a loan, and it is not a security.
• It cannot be resold. There is no secondary market, and you should not expect one.
• It can pay out nothing. Payouts follow real revenue. If there is no revenue, there is no payout.
• Nothing is guaranteed — not a return, not a schedule, not the completion of a game.

Any revenue figures, estimates, scores or ranges shown on 1UP are estimates built from public data. They are not verified revenue, and they are not a forecast.

You must be at least 18 years old to use 1UP, on either side of the marketplace. You must confirm this when you create an account, and you may be required to verify it before you back a campaign or open a raise.

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and not create an account on behalf of someone else or under a false identity.

Before you commit money or open a raise, we may require you to complete an identity or age check through our verification provider. We may refuse or reverse an action if a check fails, is abandoned, or returns a result we cannot accept.

What that check involves and what we keep is described in our Privacy Policy.

Connecting Roblox is optional, and it authorises 1UP to read your Roblox identity so we can confirm who you are on the platform. We never receive your Roblox password. You can disconnect at any time from your settings.

A Roblox account can be connected to one 1UP account at a time. Claiming a studio or a game you do not control is a breach of these terms.

If you raise on 1UP, you are responsible for what you publish — your game, your milestones, and what you tell backers. You must not misrepresent your progress, your ownership, or your revenue.

Supporter rewards are yours to grant inside your own game, and they must comply with Roblox’s rules. You may not offer Robux, game passes, items, or anything purchasable in exchange for money committed on 1UP.

• Do not use 1UP for fraud, laundering, or to move value you are not entitled to.
• Do not attempt to bypass identity checks or the 18+ requirement, for yourself or anyone else.
• Do not scrape, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Do not impersonate another person, studio, or 1UP itself.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may withhold actions pending investigation.

The service is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so in the product.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1UP is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for money you commit through the platform not being returned. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You can close your account at any time. We may close or suspend an account for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or where we are required to. Obligations already incurred survive the account being closed.
